You can start the day with a leisurely breakfast in the garden, and if you decide to set off, within a few minutes you are already walking along the shores of Lake Balaton. Zamárdi is this effortless: everything is close, everything invites you. On the long, grassy free beach the water deepens gradually, during the day you can go SUP boarding or even take a cycling trip, as the area is rich in sights.

There are many destinations near Platán Garden & Rooms. Within half an hour by bike you can reach the Kőröshegy Tulipán and Lavender Park, where from mid-June the scent of tranquillity fills the panoramic hills. Ride into a cloud of fragrance! You can also rent a bicycle at our reception!

A short ferry ride and you already find yourself in Tihany: the abbey, cafés, and a unique atmosphere. The Szántód Ferry is also nearby, so Tihany is almost at your feet.

Ferries to Tihany run every 30 minutes, so you can set off for a spontaneous trip at any time.

In the evening, it feels good to return to the gentle buzz of Zamárdi and enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the area’s long-established restaurants.
